When buying a new home or building, it is very important to “do your homework” regarding the condition of it before you buy.
Home inspectors may not have the needed training to spot electrical problems or code violations. There have been instances where a home inspector did not find any electrical issues and did not do “their homework”. A few months after the home was purchased, a fire broke out in the basement. The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical. The new owner’s insurance company found out that the sub-standard electrical work was done without a permit by the previous owner. (This would have been discovered by a Best Electric Service inspection.) The final result was that the insurance company denied the new owner’s claim.
